Trail Network Growth

Funding Transparency

Where It Comes From, Where It Goes

Local Partnerships
Funding from the regional business community. Major resorts and hospitality providers who back trails as a year-round draw for Niseko tourism.
Industry Sponsors
Support from global brands in the outdoor and cycling industries. Manufacturers backing trail infrastructure as an investment in the sport's growth.
Grants & Subsidies
Funding from public institutions, tourism boards, and regional development bodies. Often project-specific, designed to accelerate infrastructure and the local economy.
Community Fund
Grassroots support from riders and supporters. Individual donations, merch sales, and local fundraising.
Trail Construction
New trail development. Professional design, heavy machinery, materials, and skilled labour, plus the environmental restoration and site preparation.
Trail Maintenance & Operation
Keeping the network safe, accessible, and ride-ready. Our trail crew, maintenance vehicles, tools, and the land access fees that keep trails open to the public.
Marketing & Events
Sharing the story and growing the community. Event equipment, content creation, and the outreach that brings riders in and keeps the organisation transparent.
Admin & Other
Essential overhead. Accounting, legal compliance, insurance, and banking.

Our Journey

From six riders with shovels to Hokkaido's largest mountain bike network.

2021
Foundation

Six mountain bikers, saddened by the lack of mountain biking in Niseko, start meeting regularly. An NPO, they realise, is the way to have a voice.

2022
4.4 km · NPO formed

NPO officially registered. 17 board members join the founders, bringing the board to 23. Kutchan town approves trail-building rights at Twin Peaks. 4.4km built in a COVID-shortened window, under a 1m width restriction and without cutting down a single tree.

2023
Twin Peaks opens · ¥29M raised

Twin Peaks opens to the public. 6km built in one summer, the fastest project Allegra had ever seen. Network reaches 10.4km. ¥28.8M raised. Hokkaido's first Soil Searching event.

2024
7,750 visitors · ¥70M raised

+7km of new trail across two resorts: 3.6km at Grand Hirafu, 3.4km at Twin Peaks (including our first double-black, Taki Tech). 7,750 visitors ride Twin Peaks. Dirty Dames launches with 30+ women at the opening ride. ¥69.6M raised, up 141% on 2023.

2025
11,500 visitors · ¥86M raised

Visitors up 48% to 11,500. Twin Peaks' first jump line opens, paired with a dedicated climb trail for hot laps. First 1.5km goes in at Hanazono. ¥86M raised in a single year.

2026
Hanazono opens · 33 km network

Hanazono opens in summer 2026 with 5.6km of new trail. Grand Hirafu activates the new Ace Gondola for bikes, with 2km of new singletrack from the top. NAMBA-built trail crosses 25km, with the total Niseko network reaching 33km.
