2. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent by a web server to a web browser and is stored by the browser. The identifier is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. Some of the services we use store similar identifiers in your browser's local storage instead of cookies; we treat these the same way in this policy.
The following services set cookies or store identifiers when you use this website:
- Google Analytics sets the
_gacookies (kept for up to two years) on every page. We use it to see which pages people visit and how they found us. Google stores this information; see Google's privacy policy. You can also disable it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. - The Meta Pixel sets the
_fbpcookie (kept for about three months) on every page. We use it to measure how well our Facebook and Instagram posts and adverts bring riders to the site. See Meta's privacy policy. - Stripe, our payment processor, sets the
__stripe_midand__stripe_sidcookies (kept for about one year and 30 minutes respectively) on shop pages. Stripe uses them to prevent fraud and keep payments secure. See Stripe's privacy policy. - Ecwid, which runs our shop, stores your basket contents and an anonymous visitor identifier in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies. The shop needs these to work. See Ecwid's privacy policy.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser's privacy settings, usually under "Privacy and security". Blocking cookies may affect the shop checkout, which relies on Stripe's fraud-prevention cookies.
