NISEKO.CP is a relaxed family day out that mixes map-reading with mountain biking, put on by the crew behind the Niseko Expedition adventure race. You tackle a team orienteering game first, then move into an MTB skills session and a free ride on the slopes of Niseko Moiwa. It’s built for beginners, kids and anyone riding for the first time.

What you need to know

• Format: A team map-reading game in groups of 2 to 4, an MTB skills session and free ride, an awards ceremony, then a BBQ after-party
• Who it’s for: Everyone. Families and complete beginners welcome. Kids ride with an adult, and under-18s need a parental consent form

Places are capped at 50 and go first-come. Bike and helmet rental is ¥1,000, shared between two or three riders, paid by PayPay on the day.
